Caspian Flat Glass starts sales in January-February 2014

Caspian Flat Glass, a manufacturer of float glass and raw materials for the glass industry with planned production capacity of 600 tons of glass a day, was launched in Dagestan.

Investment project implementation, which amounted to 10.5 billion rubles, started in 2011. The land in the village of Tyube (Kumtorkalinskiy region) totaling to 50 hectares was allocated for the purpose.

After performance qualification, the Caspian Flat Glass plant has reached planned production capacity. Finished goods have already started to come to the warehouse, sales for the needs of glass industry will start in January-February 2014. Priority areas for Caspian Flat Glass are the markets of the Russian North Caucasian Federal District, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Western Ukraine, and Iran.

According to the forecasts, the glass plant should pay off in the seven-year period providing the market circumstances are favorable.

Float glass is one of the most sought-after glass types in the building industry and is widely applied in manufacturing double-glazed windows for various purposes. The emergence of a new large and active market player will influence the existing shares of its participants and will have an impact on the price policy and strategy of the sector.
